Ailanthus excelsa Roxb or Ardu- Plant of heaven

Ailanthus excelsa Roxb. is a tree belonging to family Simaroubaceae, indigenous to Central and Southern India. Ailanthus excelsa. Roxb is one of the medium sized, fast growing tree species within the genus Ailanthus. Commonly it is known as a plant of Heaven. The tribal population uses the plant for antifertility, anthelmintic and rejuvenating purpose. Plant pacifies vitiated kapha, pitta, diarrhea, dysentery, worm infestations, skin diseases, gynecological diseases, fever, and found to be effective in Leukemia.
